yes to be a little boring, in tax law, when buying / (selling) a share, you are actually entering 2 contractual transactions,
1. for the purchase of the share (contract date),Accounting Dr Asset, Cr Payables
2. and the 2nd being the exchange of payment (settlement date). Accounting Dr Payables Cr Bank.Sorry but I just came out of retirement for that ! Back to retirements again!
