you are missing the point - which I absolutely agree with

what was, until say 10-15 years ago, just right of centre or “conservative” is now called “far right” because what a small portion of the world has moved so far left that they see most of the world as being far right. This small part of the world roughly equates to the small part of the world that is prepared to cause unlimited harm to their economies with the rush to reduce emisssions.

The world is NOT Europe, the USA, Canada, Aus, NZ and a few other hangers on. There are another say 6.5 billion people.
Do you think China, India, almost all of Africa, almost all of South America, most of the rest of Asia are prepared to decimate their economies to reduce emissions AND would consider the policies you are referring to as “far right?”

I think you are looking through the world through a very small lense-advanced WESTERN countries which believe it or not is not the whole world - more like an eighth.
