    Hi guys

By forwarding Dorothy Pratt's "Timeline of Events" to Cougar has certainly brought a reaction from them. They have literally pulled her chart to shreads. Well done Len.

This is from the front page of Cougar Website & it will be much easier to read from there but I have copied & pasted it anyway.

    Cheers

    Bunya

    NOTICE

"It has come to the attention of Cougar Energy Limited that in her Prattles newsletter to constituents, the Queensland Parliament Member for Nanango, The Hon. Dorothy Pratt, published a timeline of events allegedly occurring at the Companys Underground Coal Gasification (UCG) pilot project at Kingaroy in Queensland. As well as being published in Ms Pratts newsletter, this timeline also appeared on the Australian Investor Internet Forum, Hot Copper. There are a number of inaccuracies in this timeline and the Company has approached Ms Pratt to have them corrected. Ms Pratt has indicated that she has requested confirmation from the Queensland Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability that the information received by her office was correct. Cougar Energy was surprised by this response given that relevant information is publicly available. While Ms Pratt has stated that any information which is proven incorrect will be corrected in the next edition of her Prattles, Cougar Energy has yet to receive any such correction. As a new industry to Australia, Cougar Energy understands the need for thorough scrutiny and extensive testing and debate about its technology. It remains committed to working with the Kingaroy community and Government to develop this flagship UCG project in Australia to demonstrate its viability as an alternative energy source of the future. With this goal comes significant responsibility, which we take extremely seriously. It is equally important that any debate about UCG and our company is informed by facts and not by misinformation. For this reason, Cougar Energy considers it important to address the inaccuracies contained in Ms Pratts timeline in the interests of accurate reporting and to maintain a reliable flow of factual information to our shareholders and the Australian public generally What follows is an extract from our communications clarifying or correcting important facts about Cougar Energys operations contained in the Member for Nanangos newsletter. These facts are based on publicly available information and the Queensland Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) documents and are referenced. Cougar Energy Limited 10 November 2010

Inaccuracies contained in the timeline appearing in The Hon. Dorothy Pratts newsletter Prattles (attached)
    1. Blockage and cracking of the bore casing occurred between 20 - 31 March 2010 and that Cougar Energy did not make any announcement on this for 4 months.
Fact: Once a blockage of the bore casing was identified late in March 2010, an investigation commenced during which time it was thought possible to continue operations once the repair work was undertaken. Later in April 2010 the decision was taken not to continue to use wells P1 and P4 for production purposes. Cougar Energy made a public announcement to the ASX on 27 April 2010 (available at www.asx.com ) advising of this decision, not in July 2010 as the Prattles timeline infers.

    2. There are a number of water tests characterised as Exceedences and marked with red circles.
Facts: Cougar Energy is required to report results of groundwater tests that are benchmarked against the Australian Drinking Water Guideline 2004 (ADWG) for detections of benzene, toluene and other chemicals. The relevant Australian Drinking Water Guidelines for benzene and toluene can be found on the Queensland Department of Environmental Management (DERM) website under the following link:
http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/environmental_management/ucg/q-and-a.html (What are benzene and toluene ?) The ADWG standard for benzene is 1 part per billion (ppb). The ADWG standard for toluene is 800 ppb. Only test results at or above these trigger levels are reportable to DERM. Fact: These tests were erroneously characterised. Test taken on 28 April 2010 (lab result received 7 May 2010) - 45 ppb toluene - NO EXCEEDANCE. Test taken on 4 May 2010 (lab result received 19 May 2010) - 4 ppb toluene - NO EXCEEDENCE. Test taken on 2 June 2010 (lab result received 10 June 2010) - 1 ppb benzene - NO EXCEEDANCE. Test taken on 29 June 2010 was incorrect due to a laboratory error and should have read 0 ppb. DERM has acknowledged and accepted that this was a mistake at the point of the independent laboratory testing NO EXCEEDANCE.
References: http://www.derm.qld.gov.au/environmental_management/ucg/q-and-a.html (What have been the test results to date?) and the Environmental Protection Order issued by DERM.

    3. Tests results dated 28 April 2010 to 29 June 2010 in the time line are described as ppb but there is no reference to the relevant chemical. This is at best confusing and at worst misleading.
Fact: The only exceedance of a trigger level occurred on tests taken on 11 May 2010 (lab result received 8 June 2010) and 27 May 2010 (lab result received 4 June 2010) recording 2 ppb benzene, which exceeded the AWDB standard by 1 ppb. Reference: Environmental Protection Order issued by DERM.

    4. The timeline states that DERM was informed of test readings on 30 June 2010.
Fact: DERM was contacted on 21 June 2010
Reference: Cougar Energy letter to the ASX dated 29 July 2010 available at www.asx.com .

    5. The timeline identifies a period between 30 June and 14 July 2010 with green broken lines with the label ASX concern. CE raises capital allegedly [sic] without full disclosure.
Fact: Cougar Energy denies it raised capital without full disclosure. The ASX sent a Query Letter to Cougar Energy dated 27 July 2010 which was responded to on 29 July 2010. No further enquiries have been made by the ASX of Cougar Energy.
Reference: Cougar Energys response to the ASX on 29 July 2010 is available at www.asx.com
