barbaric... but no less barbaric than the pillow therapy that I saw used in aged care in the old days.
and the murders of old nannas in family homes were not always found out either.
I've also seen elderly patients in general hospitals starved/dehydrated by medical decisions.
much better to have a functional system which sets limits and ensure that the person dying is doing so voluntarily and with good cause.
