In Ukraine, men up to the age of 25 can be mobilized.

Former ombudsman and ex-MP Lyudmyla Denisova reported that there are 3 categories that can be mobilized:

✅ 1. Conscripts up to 25 years old who have completed military training and are reserve officers but are not currently enrolled in graduate school.

✅ 2. Conscripts who have previously completed compulsory military service (except for the last demobilization of conscripts, mobilizing them for 1 year is not currently planned).

✅ 3. Individuals who were previously classified as unfit for military service in peacetime or conditionally fit during wartime. There have been cases of mobilizing such young men before.

Young men under 25 can also be mobilized if they are "in reserve for deployment in a special period," says lawyer M. Skrzheshovsky.

There has already been a precedent in the Vinnytsia region where two 19-year-old brothers were taken to the territorial military commission (TMC), after which one of them, Vadym Yashchuk, who has health problems, was mobilized, while the other healthy brother was released.

Individuals "in reserve for deployment in a special period" have a temporary military certificate that replaces the military ID card. This is usually given to those who are classified as "unfit for service in peacetime and conditionally fit for wartime."

19-year-old Vadym Yashchuk has heart problems, so when he was enlisted, he received this temporary certificate. His brother, of the same age, was released from the TMC due to his age, as he did not have any other military registration document except for his conscription certificate.

Vadym ended up on a training ground in the Rivne region very quickly. It turned out he had already passed the medical board (of course, he was healthy). The family hired lawyers because there was no second medical board, and the boy's signature on the documents was forged. Not surprisingly, arbitrary mobilization is happening all over the country, but advisor to the President's Office Podoliak doesn't seem to notice it ‍♂

Even postgraduate students can be mobilized. This is chaos since many of them cannot defer service. Universities have blocked issuing Form 9 certificates (a certificate from the registry stating that they are studying) to postgraduates - registries are blocked ‍♂

After the intensified mobilization in Ukraine, there is also a shortage of personnel, which negatively impacts businesses, production, and the entire economy. Not to mention demographics... It will be completely different after the war in Ukraine ends
