jaeb: in regard to the name Groote Eylandt ("Dutch meaning big or great island"). As a family based culture the local people have no generic name for the Eylandt. However it is theirs. They hold freehold title to the low water line for all ...land that constitutes the Archipelago. What unites the people is Ceremony and Kin. Much more to tell...please contact TO's. I'd like the debate to ascend to a higher level myself and I am sure that there would be few investors who would like to believe they might be investing in Cultural Genocide. But they won't know until they've seen what underpins that argument will they. There are no hidden agendas here. My agenda is simple; under instructions from the TO's to do what it takes to thwart GR's aspirations on and around the Archipelago, beacuse they are united themselves in achieving that end. Although not a face to face dialogue, I am proffering my hand in good faith. However I do suggest you come here to assess the situation in person. Face to face is always best. Sincerely GFB
