re: Ann: Goodman transacts US$325 million not... Newminer GMG doesn't seem to generate that much discussion on this site, well any site to be truthful. For the SP to start moving up they need to increase their profits and returns. All the buying, selling, investing and other world wide deals they are doing haven't been accompanied by any management announcements upgrading earnings or future distributions.
They paid a 3.4 cent distribution last year on earnings of 5.25c per share. The forecast in the annual report is for earnings of between 5.3 and 5.5 cents per share for 2011. A massive increase of 2.77% if we take it as 5.4%.
That is why there is no SP movement.
I only hold them as I think they are very safe and if they manage to pay a 3.5 cent distribution then that is almost a 9% return on my original investment.
Basically better than keeping my money in the bank.
