@Scott th Ratbag; I looked to see if the mine fire featured in a thread - my apologies for not seeing the one you launched.

The fire at the Hazelwood brown coal mine in 2014 was above ground and proved very difficult to extinguish. It was one of the gongs tolling the death of Victoria's Old King Coal power stations.

It comes as NO surprise that Old King Coal huggers just cannot cope with reality checks such as those at Hazelwood and Moranbah.
