I do enjoy a political debate - always have , but l just find it very hard when anyone just closes their eyes to EVERYTHING except their one sided party of choice. I spend 99% of my HC time on shares etc , and sometimes look at political chats , you would have to agree that you ALWAYS see things totally & only through the left wing or labour point of view. And that to me is really not clever as all parties have good and bad aspects. Except maybe Greens who have completely lost their ways since Bob Brown
I use about 10% of my income , Assets etc by way of helping those in Vietnam , where l have brought many beds , matress's , air conditioners , and even paid for the construction of a house for a very large poor family. I would never help Australians as they are just too greedy , mostly lazy and FAR FAR too much welfare. The Vietnamese are the most beautiful people with a 1000 years of hard history , who have no choices in life. They , if lucky ,they work a 6 day week , for about $100 , get 2 weeks leave , but can not be taken in whole , but a few days when told. There is ZERO welfare , and the poor women there have a SO SAD a life.
Anyway , l do love Australia , but we crazy spoilt , and need a very big change in attitude before it's too late. And some wonder about domestic violence in our country. That's here forever , unless we change. God there are 1000's of fights every year at schools and not much respect for teachers , so nothing going to change. In most Asian countries , there are no R graded movies , no pornography on the internet , severe drug penalties and so much more l could say on this matter.
You mentioned Julian Assange. well l not so sure about him too. I wish he could get copies of corruption , cruelties , war crimes and even crimes against people out of Russia , China , any African country , any South American country , in fact most of the world. USA , UK , Australia might not be perfect , but they are far closer than most countries. I was in Afghanistan in the 1970's , and all the ones l met were fantastic people , but the ones that helped in translations for the Assies & USA sure were VERY scared when Assange released all those documents. Have a thought for them.
I do think every country has a right for privacy , their own secrets and things for good reason that should be kept secret. But not to the extent of Russia , China and most of the world. I wish he had the same courage to have a look at Russia. If so , he would not be alive today.
I had some Ukrainians stay at my home last year , from refugee camp in Poland. Over 2000 in that camp were pregnant from rape of the Russians.
A bit of work there for Mr Assange.
Anyway l must get going - on holiday right now. If we shared emails , we could have some better debates.
