Found this article from about four and a half years ago which mentions Regal and Clinuvel together while also openly stating how Regal were shorting Polynovo. This was about the time CUV started getting shorted, that guy from Regal who ASIC investigated tried to make up some silly acronym for Aussie Biotechs which never caught on, but it does go to show they seem to have no ethical concerns regarding the shorting of small healthcare stocks that are bringing novel treatments (including for children) to market. (just google the article title to find it)

That article doesn't confirm Regal is shorting CUV but if you read the Regal unitholder monthly report for March which was released to the ASX on 8/4/24 Regal said"Detractors this month were predominately from the Healthcare Long Short Strategy after the short book dragged on performance after small bounces in high conviction shorts during the month."This was the month when Clinuvel announced their share buyback and the share price jumped over 10% without any shares even being bought back. The shorter then had to pump in half a million new open short positions to control the share price which would have taken an enormous jump in this lightly traded stock without all that fake sell liquidity. Coincidence or not, who knows? I doubt we will ever know 100% with the shorter, this one seems to line up in many regards, but which institution would really want to proudly put their name to shorting Clinuvel? Anyone who is shorting a company which is the only one to have brought some treatment to children suffering the terrible disease of EPP, and in the future potentially horrendous diseases like XP, VP or Parkinson's, deserves close scrutiny. As for our very expensive and useless governement regulator, this article below was just published on how the vast majority of complaints are never looked into and I'm sure the greedy hedge fund shorting CUV knows all about that and how easy it is to flout Corporate Law.
