Does anyone have access to the AFR article today with interview with AD about the Mitsubishi agreement? It would be great to at least synthesise anything useful AD might have added in addition to the announcement yesterday.
In reality its no surprise they cant get any greater commitment from anyone ahead of the PFS, as despite no-doubt giving full access to all their current drilling and Met data, few potential partners would be keen to JV at this stage until a but more grunt work has ben done to demonstrate potential economic returns. And indeed a more thorough look at the logistics of mining this area ranging from environmental approvals and access to water at volume through to possibilities of rail corridors to potential ports if early stages of mining involve the sale of concentrate rather than further downstream processing. So I think this is about as good as they were likely to get....a huge industrial giant saying they are likely to back a development once its proven, at least at PFS stage, to be a goer.
Lots more work to be done in the next year, and lots of upside/downside as they step through layers of preliminary environmental approvals and preliminary access issues/feasibility and report back to shareholders. But all that needs to be done to give a feel for what degree of certainty that this will be developed in our lifetime.
