At this time very little is known about the extent of the Niobium and Tantalum deposits in the SUM and PNN tenements. What is known is the nature of the pegmatite host rocks and the topology of the valley enclosing them.

The plentiful videos on the X web-site show that these ores are frangible, dense, and water insoluble. So weathering is likely to have led to plentiful sediment formation, somewhere.

The map of the valley (above) shows elevation contours at each 10m level. The ragged contour is at 330m. The map is coloured red at low elevations. Black stars mark the location of SUM rock chip sampling and, as an initial guess, represent the extent of the deposits in the SUM tenement.

Rock weathering products that formed at those locations might be expected to move at a tangent to the elevation contours until the valley floor is reached. Then, as a sediment or suspension, move with water flow and have a tendency to deposit in variegated bands where the valley floor widens (the dark red area in the upper centre of the map).

It can be seen that the PNN tenement occupies almost all of the valley floor that lies below the SUM sampling locations, and contains a lower basin where the valley floor widens.
IMO a sediment deposit is quite possible.

Now to find the hard rock . . .
