Shorter's with high risk positions like in CUV don't just take a position and then hope things play out in their favour, unlike mum and dad retail investors whoever is shorting CUV has to actively manage or manipulate the market to control their high risk position. We saw this in the first days after the share buyback was announced with half a million fake liquidity open short positions created to control the CUV share price in a very tightly held stock that only has 50 Million shares on issue. Without all that fake liquidity (remember it is not a genuine holder selling their shares) the share price would have gone to mid $20s IMO. My opinion is this is maintaining an artificial market in breach of Corporate Law which ASIC should police but don't, and it is only one way shorters operate to make a buck. There are many articles and opinions on what they will stoop to such as FUD attacks, controlling sentiment via the share price, spreading scuttlebutt, releasing fake reports on company's etc etc. They don't do any good, they are just out to make money and I think the Royal Commission into Banking showed just how low greedy institutions will stoop in pursuit of their money making.

    All IMO DYOR
