One difficulty is a 150/200 tonne roadtrain being able to travel 1000 km on a tank of hydrogen. Sun Metals in Townsville has 150 tonne roadtrains to take zinc from the plant to the port using hydrogen produced onsite with an electrolyser. The trip from the plant to the port and return is only 32km.
