How can you say management did a good job at the start? They made a fatal error in the design of the plant which had resulted in wastage of several years and a huge amount of money. The company would be in a radically different position if the original design included a DMS etc.
Hindsight is 20/20, but the risk associated with the optical sorter were known and management was dismissive of them. Yes they got to production quickly but that was the critical mistake.
The board have to be considering a change, surely
