I'm assuming some of that was meant for me... I see G's name mentioned, don't expect to know what he's talking about but in reference to 1 in 1,000 here's some info for you.
I don't have clarification that it's accurate, how could I? I don't even know who posted this originally, I don't care anymore, you lot can take it or leave it but I'll still post and with the best references I've got. Listen to no-one is my advice, especially 'hearts' at the height of excitement last Aug / Sep calling for a $22.00 share price, one would think someone sold into that!... at the same time gullible buyers were buying, not nice!Atranscript of Mark Bennett at a community meeting in November 2021 talkingabout exploration in general until his link froze and Matthew Keane steppedin. Here is what was actually said:
Mark Bennett: "Our aim is to find mineral deposits and ifappropriate, and it’s not always appropriate, you know, what we do most of ourtime is just exploration which is a low impact activity and it only rarelyleads to the discovery of a viable mineral deposit. And you can, sort of, usestatistics in all sorts of different ways, but if you, for example, say thatonly one in 10 prospects, or sorry, only one in 10 targets becomes an actualprospect, only one in 10 prospects become a mineral deposit and only one in 10mineral deposits become a significant mine, that’s one in a thousand chance ofexploration leading to a mining operation. Now if you were just to halve thatthen it’s still a one in 125 chance. Using the Minerals Council of Australia’sstatistics it’s one in 660, so nearly always exploration fails but it’sundertaken in the hope."… [Audio and video froze at thispoint] - Matthew Keane took over fromhere.
Matthew Keane: "Yeah, Mark was just covering off on that it is a lowprobability of successful exploration but of course best endeavours we do hopeto find something that obviously would be a benefit, not only to ourshareholders but the broader community in which we work, and we won’t undertakea feasibility study, well sorry, won’t undertake any mining activities unlessthat’s both technically, economically, environmentally and socially robust.Generally, we’re a small company so Mark’s just got a point here that whenengaging with a community you’re going to find that S2 Resources we’regenerally going to deal very much on a one-on-one basis. We’re not going to besome faceless company that maybe drops something in your letterbox, we areavailable, you will see us in and around the community and we’re always thereready for you to reach out and always happy to chat.Mark will probably come back because I would like him to talk tothe next slide when he comes back in, but I’ll continue on, so next slideplease John."
