I certainly don't want to drag up old mud and definitely don't want to get in any peeing contests again.
But I think your above summation has some rosey goggles on over how it played out.
Quite a few members actually stated outright that you and anyone else is entitled to be accepting of the terms offered. I don't recall anyone starting attacks on the point that you were happy with the terms. It seemed to start when on the other hand, people who stated that they were unhappy with the terms and were willing to fight for a better deal, you began a narrative that it was grubby, greedy, underhanded, troublemaking etc.
It eventually escalated to all gloves off so I won't speak to that other than, everyone is probably regretful of some things they said and where tempers went.
At least from my memory though, it escalated due to you not accepting that people wanted a better deal and would be willing to band together to take action, nor accepting that it was well within their rights as a shareholder.
That is all, no excuses made for what came after.
