re: announcement?
From looking at the cross section in the latest announcement about the drilling at Avebury and the results of their drilling it suggests to me that AGM don't have a good handle on the geology of the Avebury nickel deposit and what controls the mineralisation. The last couple of drill announcements they have made has shown the mineralisation to be fairly thin (1-2m stuff) with the grade not increasing in the thinner sections of mineralisation. AGM also said that the drilling is behind schedule due to a range of factors. It's the peak drilling season in Tassie right now so if they miss completing their infill drill program during the summer they will find it hard to catch up during the winter even with drilling from their decline. I also found it interesting that they didn't say if these latest holes were drilled from surface or from their decline. I thought one of the main reasons for spending multi-millions on their decline was to allow the Averbury deposit to be drilled out from underground. Perhaps they are now not doing that? Does any one know if the present drilling is being done from surface or underground?
