''That is an astounding number based on your comment that China basically now has all of the ingredients required in place.''
I can't remember what I said about China - but, it would have been about Chinese cars
probably in regard to price - cost of purchase - they have that part of the ingredient in place (don't know about the quality yet - but, if it's not here, it will be soon) - in regard to western markets
I've no idea what the rest of the ingredients in China are like - charging network etc etc - it's of little interest to me
but, I do know a little about such things in the US, in Oz and in some parts of Europe
in Oz - it's woefully behind, I think much of america would have to be as well - it's huge apartment blocks etc.
Europe is a mix - and there are huge apartment blocks in Europe as well - but, Europe has been adapting things like medieval cities - forever
Aussies adapted from out in the backyard dunnies to sewerage
in France in Medieval cities - well, they've been adapting for hundreds of years - so moving to EV's and how to charge them - is ------- just another thing.
It's culture is also ----------- small. Small cars. In France - my god, could one imagine having a yank tank - you couldn't get the things around a corner - literally.
china - in china - don't know, wouldn't have a clue - but, I know this ------ they're in front on the EV purchase price game ------------ and they are pulling away
so much so that europe and america are applying whopping tariffs to slow em up
