HT1, don't be bearish and ruin the vibe. :P

I know nothintg of technical analysis, nor of fundamental analysis, but I can see sentiment when it's in front of me. This is what I think the investor community sees- a safe share:

* No capital raisings to stuff around with the share price, because we're so cashed up (and I'd kind of like it to stay that way)
* A dividend, so institutions can redeem profits for superannuation funds
* Reliable: despite minor pullbacks, which are often due to broking houses saying OZL has had too much too soon (rotten reason for reducing a share price expectation, imo), the market is happy to push OZL to new highs
* Quiet management that doesn't make stuff ups, overpromise, have OHS catastrophes, shutdowns, and has an Indigenous employment program, that kind of makes OZL seem like an ethical investment
* A generally rising sharemarket, and a rising copper price, which can support other copper companies, but supports OZL with greater strength because it just gets things right
* Autonomous, not at the vagaries of predators, and so allowed to run, nor in a rush to spend its money to please the commentariat. Having said that, I imagine it will be cognisant of "enhancing shareholder value" by not staying too rich forever
* Isn't caught up in the fad of rare earths, so the share price remains free of the price spikes and inevitable declines that stalk REE shares

I know it's good to be cautious, but it's hard to take profits on this one, because it delivers so well- it has the right formula. This is a chicken that keeps laying eggs, and it would be hard work to replace her with another chicken that is so consistent.

OZL has had problems in the past, but for now, sentiment is right behind this company. When that changes, the SP will fall. I reckon there'd need to be a catalyst, though. Of cours,e if the market collapses, or copper price collapses, that's a different story.

HT1, your cautious post is a good one, but surely you must still be feeling confident about this company? It's a ripper! :D
