@zipperlip; our son did no such thing albeit his marriage was in two parts - the latter being the Muslim one since her faith refused to recognise their relationship until the pair were married in a 'non-Muslim' ceremony.
Indeed our son has never prayed to any God and nor have our grandkids - they're as irreligious as their paternal grandfather!
You'd be surprised at the extent to which our son's wife, her family and the wider Iranian community we interact with in Melbourne are NOT captive to the inflexible media constructs of the Muslim faith in Australia.
