With rampant conflict bedevilling global markets the fate of rare earth supply/processing is in great danger of becoming a major issue. If there is even a minor change to availability of these supplies there will be a dramatic increase to pricing of the commodity. The US is aware of this of course hence the push for domestic stockpiling and development of new technologies involving processing. The market could change in an instant if there is a major incident IMO.
