Where are all the investigations as to cost benefit analysis
Japan has three options for power
Coal, gas, nuclear
All of which has to be imported, so cost benefit is vital yet decisions are always centered around political demands
Japan has no more rivers for Hydro and no other resources for power so any choice has to be the best of what is left
Renewables are eliminated as industry which is the mainstay of the Japanese economy will not operate on renewables \
Their last nuclear was IMHO just badly sited and an accident waiting to happen regardless of the type of plant
