I just hope the conservatives don’t blow their electoral chances by pushing ahead with nuclear.
They should be pushing ahead with base load modern HELE coal, backed up by existing renewables.
This way they would still be reducing emissions (just not by as much…as if it makes any difference anyway) whilst keeping costs under control, using technology that we understand well, is reliable and uses our own God given resources.
