What he appears to be doing is what numerous Christians do with Jesus's message in Math Ch 24, re Jesus's second coming and the Great tribulation before it.
They say, no, no, that doesn't include us, that is only addressing the Jews and we Christians are taken away in a secrete rapture beforehand, despite Zero words of Jesus, saying any such nonsense, as the subject is, when is he coming a second time.
To suggest Jesus wouldn't tell his close ones of a secrete rapture, is totally laughable, but amazingly, many swallow this line
