Diplomacy is the art and practice of building and maintaining relationships and conducting negotiations with people using tact and mutual respect.
The goal being to peacefully resolve issues.

War is an act of violent force to compel the enemy to do our will.

I'd say there is room in this world for more diplomacy and less war. I dont expect Orban would ultimately be successful in ending the conflict in the short term but there may be a path found to a less bad outcome.

The Ukraine people bear the brunt of the geostrategic conflict between the declining great power led by the very metaphorical Joe Biden striving to maintain at least the appearance of dominance and global hegemony using their sizeable global military logistics and ukrainian canon fodder and the 2nd tier power Russia saying not on my doorstep thanks. Net result Ukraine is being destroyed and the election cycle means they have to put up with that at least till November.
