All fair enough points Ops. I have no idea how things are going to turn out - as I repeatedly say 'it is a gamble'.
What I do know is that those who are solely blaming management may be on the wrong track.The technology itself may be a contributor to the situation. It is a big wide world out there and we don't know everything that is going on. If we are as far ahead as Semi's assumptions suggest, then even the proverbial "drover's dog" would be able to do deal(s), or we would be gobbled up by any major seeking a bargain.
If the situation is as bleak as you argue, then we are likely stuffed with an inept management, a tech which is not as good as is shouted from the rooftops, or a combination of both.
We can't change reality, but we can accept it. IMO, if worst comes to worst then the best way to deal with it is to blame oneself and move on. Experience has taught me that.
