Giving up some of the areas you've not controlled in 10 years anyway is an option. Zelenskyy is pretty clear on it though:
The territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine must be restored with respect to its entire territory within the internationally recognized borders, as of the declaration of independence of Ukraine in 1991, which includes all parts of the territory of Ukraine temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation with no
exceptions.

Makes me wonder what the point of the 2023 Counteroffensive was. I thought it was to get into a better negotiating position, but it failed, and yet they maintain their position. As though the 'No negotiation till Crimea" attitude never existed.
Maybe the Ukrainians can just go home and the politicians can sort it out in Switzerland with the same demands anyway (~). [If reality on the ground means nothing, why waste your people trying to maintain it?]
