Minister Caroline Wawzonek and I had the pleasure of meeting with board members and senior managers from Vital Metals in Yellowknife yesterday.
We welcomed the opportunity to share perspectives on the current operating environment for natural resource projects and discussed how project proponents like Vital Metals can work with public governments, Indigenous governments, and other stakeholders to advance sustainable mining projects in the Northwest Territories.
The NWT stands as a strategic hub for economic growth in the resource sector with its commitment to responsible resource development and emergence as a significant player in the global critical minerals landscape.
Our government is committed to strengthening the economic foundation of the Northwest Territories by working with mineral and energy sector clients and assisting them in the development of projects, and by supporting Indigenous governments in an effort to maximize the resource potential of their lands.
