I meant I haven’t suggested race to anyone as a potential investment. My partner and a few people close to me know I’m excited about one stock in particular but that’s about it.

I am an inexperienced investor. I only started 4 or 5 years ago and I really don’t know much. I feel very new to Thai world and like it’s an old school culture that I don’t entirely get.

I’d be reluctant to recommend anyone invest in race because
- I believe that people need to take responsibility for their own investment decisions (I would hate for non investor friends to put any real money into something that I recommend simply because they trust me.)
- given the point above, I am very reluctant because it takes time and effort to understand race. I’d want them to make their own decisions but they’d probably just want to follow me. Race takes too long and is too hard to understand
- none of my friends are into speculative investing and they’d probably try to talk me out of it.

I consider myself to be very different from the ‘average’ investor on Hot Copper. But there are a lot of people like me (broadly speaking) who have gotten into investing in recent years because technology has helped make it possible.

Race has a high number of retail investors and I think it could really use the fact that they communicate with shareholders as a real selling point to a ‘new’ type of investor.

I bet there are others on here like me. We don’t talk about investing with others and we aren’t part of the traditional investing community/ culture/ whatever.

They probably aren’t rich or well connected but they would put some money on a stock, especially if they think it might become a life changing amount if successful.

People like me are extremely grateful for a company that is willing to talk to them. And try to do things differently. I feel like race should be targeting people like us. It’s crazy how un-communicative other companies are and it really sets race apart.

In some ways I think I am part of a bigger trend of a ‘new breed” (lame I know) of investors. I think race has a rare appeal to us and that the company could really befit by trying to tap into this.
