While that may be true, the main blackout ocurred from 6:17 pm onwards. Unfortunately, solar doesn't work after sunset, so solar didn't save Lismore when electricity demand was high.
More evidence that we need a new energy policy that includes nuclear, gas and coal as well as renewables.
