I would assume they are trying to obtain the entire Basement.
If you look at the diagram above they currently have close to half of the fault zone between the sedimentary rock
zones on each side . I assume that zone they have taken lease on is the primary target zone for flowable Hydrogen .

Only an insider would know but there is 2 counties at play here so perhaps different approvals to start then maybe some landholders are not so willing to have wells on their farms . I doubt someone will be willing to gamble millions on a drill 200m away if we hit flowable hydrogen.
