Geophysics of limited value finding gold deposits in the Araluen area, ground-based geophysics are horrendously slow and expensive due to the terrain and numerous landowners, and airborne techniques of dubious value in detecting quartz-hosted vein gold deposits, if there were magnetic rocks or conductive sulfide rocks then yes that would be worth a shot. Modern techniques are good at detecting large deep anomalies undercover on billiard board flat country, but pretty useless at finding thin shallow high-grade quartz gold shean vein deposits. In the Araluen/Majors Creek area there are the right rocks for VMS type polymetallic deposits, if AMI have any of these in their tenements then they might be worth a look with traditional mapping, sampling and drilling.

If geophysics could find everything easily then everyone would have a mine by now.
