The rise in shorts started after exceptional results in late December. It co-insides with the basic flat-lining $20-25 range.
I’m presuming both are related.
One reason for this rise in shorts could be hedging.
Another could be Big Pharma keeping downward pressure for future take-over.
Definitely has nothing to do with capital raising. NEU are financially sound.
Some would say shorts are in the know of some bad news on its way. Not sure where this can come from. Jon plus management are way too professional for such a leak or product possibility.
Of the above.. I reckon the rise in shorts ( < 3% is not an issue in itself) is either hedging or BP suppressing share price. 2c
