Thanks for that link. So its $2.18 million per year to fund the CTO plus 4-6 researchers who are un-named. That's a fairly small operation. Its not what I'd call a "UK Centre for Excellence", and despite being located in Cambridge UK, its not part of the University as the name might imply (usually COE's are found in Unis). It just doesn't feel right to me. I want to be seeing the CTO, and a team of top researchers with established research records in the field, outputs, links to reports and conference presentations and talks, and perhaps several high profile advisors/experts in the field who work with the company. That article is showing them instead more as a "dog and pony show". The "lab" might well be the size of a broom cupboard. They need to do better.
