So, will Dow take the company in this direction, or will we get more of the rhetoric of words and intentions, but not much else?.

Great post GT. As I've put forward many times for me the general direction hasn't really changed just the circumstances, you could never push forward with a refinery untill at a minimum having reached steady state production and once that was reached would price/cost make it profitable, both of which are yet to be established, The ramp up has been going for over 16 months now , much longer than many thought although actually relatively normal for a ramp-up and has now been joined by a concentrate price collapse.

So realistically untill both of those milestones have been achieved its hard to imagine anything happening for Moblan or a refinery at NAL regardless of who the CEO is or was, beyond talks or a possible MOU/ LOI IMO.

It's why I haven't joined the BOD/management bashing squad ( nobody is perfect ), for me anyway they have done exactly what was needed and now the plant appears to close to nameplate we move on with LD , eventually a Chairman and probably more board changes over time.

For all the talk of KP putting a spanner in the works we have yet to get to a position where he could even put a spanner in the works, surviving is whats its about at the moment, not refineries.

    Cheers Whisky
