Thanks for addressing my post and for the clarification of your thoughts Fisher.
As far as the now somewhat historic ‘giveaway’ of royalties and the award of director shares, I count myself as lucky that the price here turned around as quickly as it did making the director shares a foregone conclusion.
- I’ve held shares in plenty of companies where such rewards lapse, and had no great hopes for this one - even in the early days of its’ rise - after watching a few flash in the pan ‘booms’ at GCY.I can’t argue with you that the sharemarket is weighted towards BEOT and insiders either, and that as a little fish swimming in the same pond lot the odds are against me.
I know there are various petitions that circulate endeavouring to get laws passed to make the game more even but I’m kind of cynical; For one - on top of everything else - in these times there’s the AI systems that have been loading the game with microsecond trading based on numbers alone. And even back in the ‘old days’ some words from the famous Charles Dow of the Wall Street Journal and the Dow Jones (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Dow) stuck in my mind. a long time ago, when I first read them (he wrote them despite being a great crusader for honesty);“Mining securities are not the thing for widows and orphans or country clergymen, or unworldly people of any kind to own. But for a businessman, who must take risks in order to make money; who will buy nothing without careful, thorough investigation; and who will not risk more than he is able to lose, there is no other investment in the market today as tempting as mining stock."
Anyway in this case I don’t condemn the directors for taking some cream.
And, despite the note to Joelstar, you still have not explained why you feel “pausing drilling at the current time seems like we are a deer in the headlights with the predators looming.”
I agree there are more targets that have been identified but it it seems to me to be prudent to hold something in reserve whilst moving forward with other news, and also that - as far as keeping pressure up on the upward trend goes - well don’t we still have plenty of slack before this is compromised (mind you I am no chartist although I trust the TA shared here by @Saragian).
The deer on the headlights image just really does not sit with me considering more than 17% of the company has just changed hands at an average of 90+c a share and higher.
And I’d prefer - at this stage - to see any pause as a Spartan army bivouac set up for a bit of R&R ..
- just my thoughts for the sake of ‘debate’..
cheers
