No, they dont but what aussie is saying is that the Canadian government also isnt naive that its necessary to have to sell into that mark for a while.
@cmonaussie the part of your post i was referring to was in relation to Sayona not being able to secure an offtake.. I dont see why theyd (Chinese converters) be interested in locking spodumene supply that isnt destined to lead to longer term contracts.. Yeah sure LTR is for ramp up volume but their product is going to end up in China for the foreseeable and if the short term agreement is favourable for both LTR and BSIT, it could lead to a longer term relationship.. That isnt going to happen with NAL Spodumene as it could be needed in NA at the drop of a hat. So i guess this points to why neither NAL or China is too keen to have a OTA in place.
