yes they've continued building coal fired generation plants, though they announced they wouldn't be building any more coal plants after 2025, either in china or elsewhere. the Paris agreement China announced they would stop building more coal plants from 2030..... they brought their emissions reduction targets 5 years earlier. so over the next 10 years we should see China's use of coal diminish as a %age of production.
