Horses for courses imo.
I'm pretty sure David's knowledge and passion is exploration ... and for a complex gas charged basin he has served shareholders very well imo.
Being realistic, might an geologist have the skills (or interest) to deliver a pipeline, a power station, LNG deals, gas swap deals, pipeline transmission deals to get MEL gas to Gladstone etc?
What a sensible fellow to hand the reigns at this stage to someone who hopefully will carry on with redirected passion and skills alignment for the job ahead.
A big thanks from me too to David for excellent stewardship of MEL thus far.
