Sorry mate. Not really understanding your comment there. Buybacks usually don't have anything to do with franking credits. special dividend or capital return may do so.
Not sure tax wise but figure most of our tax is overseas so not sure on the franking part that may eventuate or not.
We won't pay tax unless we sell and a buyback would probably be more beneficial tax wise as we get a 50% credit there as I understand it.
