I wish you would give up on the Ta gem crystals - its likely the whole world market would be only a few tens of millions. To flood the market with a tonne of the stuff would drop the price to cents. Gem stones are only valuable because of rarity.
No need for gems - the value of Ta for electronics, glass lenses and surgical and dental instruments** etc. is enough to ensure a very lucrative off-take of our mineral concentrate.
And if more supply comes on the market more uses will be found for this very exotic metal.
** yeah, those little sharp things she scratches between your teeth with are made from tantalum.
