Not a fail. The RBA admitted the numbers don't match. Pretty simple. There is nothing that says the BOE number matches the original bar number. Notice you threw in "equivalent" BOE number. The idea of having inventory numbered is basically so it can't be fraudulantjy switched in accounting. Surely you know this. The whole cash at the bank bs is a diversion. Another chestnut is the RBA stating that the bars were refined in 2015. Doesn't make sense to refine already refined gold bars. The numbers is the issue.
