Finding a suitable second hand FPSO is fraught with danger and unknown cost risks. What's its integrity, how much maintenance and refurbishments is needed, will it be accepted in WA waters after the Northern Endeavour disaster. With only 10% ownership CVN is just sitting on the sidelines with STO calling the shots. STO has bigger fish to fry at the moment with Barossa and CCS in Bayu-Undan and on top of that a precarious financial situation and take-over/merger speculation.
