Cerhob, I'm not interested in defending David Hicks. He was a very foolish young man who killed no one and broke no laws as a combatant. He was entitled to be treated accordingly according to the Geneva convention.
He was not.
I am therefore concerned with the governments of the US and Australia who behaved in an unconscionable manner, condoning torture and using Hicks for political expediency in support of an illegal and immoral war.
