I really don't know much about political timing in elections - but, I believe it's like sport -
you need to reach the peak of your momentum for the event -------- to peak early is very often to lose ------- particularly if the opposition peaks on time
clearly atm - Trump/GOP have the momentum in the Presidential race
but, will it continue?
the Dems - ?? looks highly likely that Biden will go. The questions then become numerous ------- beginning with who and when - and how will the needle swing depending on who
the odds (for me) aren't good enough to back in a democrat win --------so, that suggests to me that the market doesn't think that Trump/GOP momentum continuing is a sure thing --------- favourites still, yes
but, not runaway short price atm - even with all this current momentum
