it is size of the market that matters not the populations. Also, they provide access to HK, CN, US market.
however, CMC has higher brokerage and some of their tools are also advanced so if taken over by CMC then you are giving more market to low cost Webull , MooMoo & Tiger !
many of these international companies has a software ready and tested in overseas market so all they have to do is get licence so for them they simply making their investment in software work even harder by increasing number of market they cover.
Stake was interested though the recently got their own financial licence if i am not wrong so not sure what difference it makes them to spend money on takeover instead of putting more fund into better app?
