I doubt that things would get way out of hand in America - but, they might. If they do - maybe there's a silver lining and that would be that they wouldn't be annoying the rest of the world - it just might be more peaceful for a while.
Regardless of political tensions in the population ----- civil war or not in America comes down to what authorities do
if they stick with the government - then, they are way too powerful for any non military style groups to turn to civil war scale trouble.
Civil disobedience yes - perhaps with firearms and bloodshed - yes. But it really couldn't be country wide unless some at least of the authorities broke ranks
the government has the control over communications - internet and mobile phones, and land lines
it has control of military and national guard - there's just no match for that.
But, turmoil there sure could be - and IMO - there could be political turmoil right inside at least one of the parties ------ GOP.
there are clearly groups in GOP now with their own strong ideas - ideas which Trump doesn't share fully at all. Several of those groups now have JD Vance in the box seat.
Heavens knows which way it will all go - Americas internal issues are only one problem for all of us I'm afraid.
It's really difficult to look anywhere on the planet to find somewhere that's peace and quiet atm and also that could be 'out of the way' if we end up with a large international conflict.
