charts suggest large move coming, page-3

Bollinger bands tighten up when price doesn't move much, not when a takeover is imminent. Unfortunately there is no charting indicator that predicts takeovers. Whoever comes up with one will make a fortune! ;-)

Normally when people mention takeovers on HotCopper, I yawn and think the mods should sift through all posts that mention the word and get rid of them, because if every company got taken over that people speculate will, there would only be a handful of stocks left on the exchange.

However, having said that, reading Goldman Sachs report on ELD today, it has a 'Not Rated' on it. The report says:

"Such suspension is in compliance with Goldman Sachs & Partners Australia policy when acting in an advisory capacity in a merger or strategic transaction and in certain other circumstances"

so looks like something is definitely happening. Could it be getting taken over? Maybe it is doing the taking over. Capital raising? Who knows? All will be revealed...
