If by "dooms day" you mean winding up?? ....winding up = if the Liquidator manages full recovery of their fees and expenses (rare), creditors might get a cents in the dollar distribution (very rare) and shareholders never get anything.... I was an insolvency specialist for about 15 years.
The "value" of assets on a balance sheet is generally overstated and they can never be sold for that amount.
Forget the non-current assets .... but cash, receivables and liabilities are certainly worth keeping an eye on.... IMO.
